Bruce J. Kannel, 46, of La Crosse died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in La Crosse.
He was born in La Crosse on June 25, 1960, to Jerome C. and Eyvonne (Holz) Kannel. Bruce was a 1978 graduate of La Crosse Aquinas High School.
He married Nancy King in July 1989, and they had three beautiful children together. They later divorced. Bruce loved his children dearly.
He is survived by his three children, Nicholas, Andrew and Caroline Kannel, all of Holmen; his father, Jerome C. Kannel; four sisters, Christine (Gary) Parins, Gwendolyn (Gordon) Zielke, Jennifer (Randy) Haller and Tammy (Randy) Hayman; and seven nieces and nephews, Sarah Parins, Matthew Parins, Katie (Brandon) Johnson, Gretchen (Peter James) Van Valen, Kristie (Jason) Arens, Kimberly Haller and Justin Hayman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eyvonne, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse.
