Cynthia Jane (nee Olsen) Schell

Cynthia Jane (nee Olsen) Schell of Grafton passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the age of 48. A memorial Mass will be celebrated for Cynthia at 11 a.m. on June 6 at Gesu Church, 1145 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., prior to the memorial Mass. A private interment will be held at a later date. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.

Cindy was born on Feb. 25, 1960 in Schenectady, N.Y., daughter of Frederick Olsen Jr. and Virginia (nee Meyers) Olsen. She attended schools in Naperville, Ill. and La Crosse and graduated from Cedarburg High School. Cindy received her bachelor’s degree from UW-Milwaukee in elementary education.

Cindy was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to her son Sam, her dogs, and her family and friends. She was a free spirit, music lover and artist. Cindy was involved with Sam’s school and Tae Kwon Do, showing her Dobermans, Kieva and Bubbles, and enriching her life with music, laughter and flowers. Her home was always adorned with angels.

Cindy is survived by her son, Samuel Schell of Grafton; parents, Frederick and Virginia Olsen of Elcho; mother-in-law, Norma Schell of Sheboygan; siblings, Frederick Olsen III of West Allis, Marylani Olsen of Elcho, Kimberly Olsen of Cedarburg, Kristen Olsen-Palumbo of Palatine, Ill., Nels Olsen of Cedarburg, Erik Olsen of Jacksonville, Fla. and Kaare Lotz of Whitefish Bay. Cindy is further survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Schell, in 2005.
